  1. Directions from the north. To get to the field station from the Albuquerque area, take Interstate 25 south until you reach Exit 169 marked Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge. At the bottom of the hill, take a right at the stop sign. The road will lead you up the hill that will head west once you reach the top. Go through the gate and keep right. After a short distance you will pass the US F&WS Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center on your left. Continue to keep right and you will end up on a dirt road with a sign directing you to the UNM Field Station ahead. Continue on the dirt road until you end up in the field station main parking lot.
