  3. TODAY • Increased number of serious local players • Pan India players • Corporates expanding into real estate • Large number of small players

  4. ISSUES • Aspirations and expectations of clients largely not being met • Poor infrastructure • Lack of good master plans at city and development level • Lack of good contractors • Lack of skilled workers and engineers

  5. CHALLENGES • Land acquisition • Approvals processes • Training and motivation of labour force • Providing a good quality product which is affordable to the customer, especially at the lower end • Concentration on higher end products with higher profits

  6. THE VIEW AHEAD • Caution due to high interest rates, inflation, lack of funding for developers • Positives due to lower prices in Bangalore • New higher end products • Improved infrastructure?? Metro, airport rail link, water supply, etc. • More well planned multi use developments • Demand to remain high??
