  3. OHWP Guiding Principles • Oral Health is integral to general health and well-being of all students. • Oral Health and Wellness are pre-requisites to employment readiness. • Oral Health is influenced by “biosocial” factors.

  4. Job Corps Strategy • Integrated, accessible OH care services • Team consisting of DDS, RDH, and DA • Accountable for addressing oral treatment need • Developing a sustained partnership with the JC students, center staff and center units/depts. • Practicing in the context of community

  5. OHW During Career Development • Primary prevention • Dental treatment on a priority basis • Minimal time away from class/training • Structured follow-up and monitoring of oral health and wellness plans • Oral health education and promotion

  6. Center Life • An accessible dental home • Integrated system of care • Supportive work environment • A healthy community
