  3. Alliances and Partnerships Goal: ASCD’s partnership program leverages the mutual strengths of ASCD and its partners through collaborative activities that further each partner’s shared interests and goals.

  4. Definitions Alliances: Collaborative connections with other organizations. Partnerships: Negotiated agreements with complementary organizations to establish mutually beneficial connections that enhance the activities of each partner.

To provide research-based, high quality professional development to educators • throughout the state, that supports and enhances major initiatives of the New • Jersey Department of Education • 2. To partner with NJ Department of Education, Center for Innovative • Education at Kean University, NJ Principals and Supervisors • Association/Foundation for Educational Administration, • and other educational organizations in providing high quality professional • development for all educators • 3. To advance NJASCD from the realm of success into the arena of significance • by influencing the use of best practices and research-based processes in • curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional development throughout • the state of New Jersey

  9. Grow the Partnership • Identify new issues • Invite specialists on issue or topic to join for that piece or event • Decide whether to partner, co-sponsor, or endorse the event • Build professional capacity

  10. Definitions Strategic Partners: Those partnerships with outcomes that result in access to new audiences and position ASCD as the “thought leader’ in educational leadership. Outcome: Changes in policy or changes in dialogue.

Growth - Substance - Impact • Secondary School Leadership in a Time of Change: The Wallace Leadership Project (a full year project with 23 high schools in NJ) • Creating Personalized Student Learning Plans (a new series with Joe DiMartino and 16 pilot schools) • Supervisors as Agents of Change in Transforming Secondary Schools (a project to design curriculum and unit plan templates for NJ educators) • Creating 21st Century Schools in New Jersey: the NJ Statewide Systemic Model for Continuous Professional Learning and Growth

  20. Definitions Corporate Sponsorships: Negotiated agreements with corporations in which marketing rights and benefits are extended for a fee

  21. Sponsorships Transitioned from a “one-off” conference sponsorship model to an integrated marketing partnership model, providing sponsors with access to ASCD’s major assets

  22. Sponsorships We are now offering three levels of sponsorship: • Premier Sponsor • Event Sponsor • Annual Conference Sponsor

PREMIER SPONSOR • Highest level of sponsorship, providing year-round affiliation with ASCD and use of “ASCD Premier Sponsor” logo • Highest level sponsorship of Annual Conference, Summer Conference, Conference on Teaching and Learning • Advertising: Educational Leadership, ASCD website, conference programs, Conference Daily • Announcement of the sponsorship in SmartBrief, a press release, and on ASCD website • Support of an ASCD program such as the Whole Child Initiative or Outstanding Young Educator Award

  24. EVENT SPONSOR • Sponsorship of Annual Conference, Summer Conference, Conference on Teaching and Learning • Advertising and exhibit space • Access to conference mailings/ mailing lists

  25. ANNUAL CONFERENCE SPONSOR • Sponsorship in conjunction with Annual Conference only • On-site and website recognition • Advertising and exhibit space

  26. Customized for Each Company • Sponsorship packages are customized to meet each company’s objectives, needs, and budget • Sponsorship fees are determined by the customization and what’s included in each package • Starting fees range from $20,000 - $135,000
