  5. 2013 Year End Control Tactics StatisticsIncrease in Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) Probe • At any given time 350 members are issued CEW’s • In 2013 CEW presence increased from 239 incidents in 2012 to 286 incidents. • In 2013 CEW (probe) deployments increased from 23 incidents in 2012 to 43 incidents. • In 2013, the months of May and July account for 19 CEW Probe deployments.

  6. 2013 Year End Control Tactics Statistics Increase in Canine Contact • In 2013 Canine Presence increased from 209 incidents in 2012 to 275 incidents 31.6%. • The Canine Contact versus Canine Presence ratio was 16% in 2013. • The Canine Contact versus Canine Presence ratio was 17.7% in 2012.

  7. 2013 Year End Control Tactics Statistics Increase in Canine Contact • Theft of Motor Vehicles increased 22.8% • Criminal Flights increased 41% • In 2013 there were 46 Canine Contacts • 16 the result of Criminal Flight • 4 the result of stolen vehicles that had not yet initiated a Criminal Flight • In 2012 there were 37 Canine Contacts -12 were the result of Criminal Flight
