There’s an app for everything


Information is assembled just in time,not just in case


Texting is more polite than calling


Pictures save time


Learning is a group activity


Opinions are as important as facts


Accessible meansusable on many devices


If it can be streamed, it will be


Print and electronic converge


You can’t have too much bandwidth


This is how you say “welcome”


You’re supposed to help mesolve the whole problem


So what?


Pay more attention to

  • Emerging consumer products and preferences

  • Streaming content

  • Broadband

  • Smart phone apps

  • Storage, retrieval, and manipulation of images


Pay less attention to

  • OPACs

  • Subscription databases

  • Hard copy audio and video

  • eContent that can’t be used on multiple devices

  • Wired connections


If you’re broke, focus on

  • Social media

  • Podcasts

  • Electrical outlets

  • Forms that capture cell phone numbers

  • Staff competency with mainstream consumer products and free web tools
