  2. The Basics • Three essays worth 50% of total exam score • Points earned for correct info, no penalty for incorrect information • All questions have multiple parts, make sure to answer ALL parts of the question • Many questions will combine topics from various units • Most include visuals

  3. Writing Style • No official style required • No intro or thesis is necessary • Stick to the facts • Do not forget what the question is asking you to do (define, compare, explain, etc) • Use paragraph style • Use specific vocabulary if possible • 0 points if illegible

  4. Tips for Success • Answer the easiest question first to help you manage time • Outline each question before you write • NEVER leave a question blank • Review your work • Don’t panic if you’re stumped • Carefully look at what the question is asking • You know more than you might think
