Local Coordination Group (LCG) established Membership Set up / intervention funding Year one cohort – 25 families identified Lead Agencies & key workers assigned Developing whole family plans Deliver interventions & new ways of working Local branding – no mention of ‘troubled’! What’s been happening in Winchester?

  7. It hasn’t been easy! Challenging (non negotiable!) timescales Capacity to support programme underestimated Lack of awareness of services available to support families Partner concerns re ‘Lead Agency’ role End of year one self-evaluation completed Communication, communication, communication! We’ve been on a steep learning curve

Really good engagement from some partners, particularly schools Growing understanding of the benefits of the programme Intensive Family Support Service ‘Transform’ in place Job Centre Plus secondments Establishment of LCG Strategic & Operational Groups WCC commitment to support programme But there have been lots of positives

  9. Engagement with ‘health’ – GPs Year two cohort – target 35 Nomination process – bottom up, not top down! Increase voluntary & community sector involvement Spreading the word - local briefings etc. Joint training sessions Robust & sustainable support for programme Innovation - identifying new ways of working Most importantly, improve outcomes for vulnerable families! Still lots to do
