  • All plants obtain their food through photosynthesis. They take in carbon dioxide through their “leaves” and remove oxygen. They use the carbon dioxide to make food which they use for growth and repair.

  • Because they have no vascular tissue they remain very small. These are the most common plants ound in the artic.

  • A moss gametophyte is low-growing and has structures that look like roots, stems, and leaves. The stalklike sporophyte generation remains attached to the gametophyte.
