OUTCOMES (2010) • Over 90% of applicants got their first choice foundation school • Severn received 272 applications for 270 places • 49% of Bristol students put Severn as their first choice foundation school. All secured a place in Severn • 91% of Bristol students got their first choice foundation school. Those who did not get their first choice got from their 2nd to 17th choice

  7. FLEXIBLE (LESS THANFULL-TIME) TRAINING • All doctors in training are eligible to apply • Must show that full time training would not be practical for them, with well founded reasons • Should apply in normal way for Foundation Programme

  8. PAY & PAY BANDING • F1 - £22,412 basic • F2 – 27,798 basic • Basic: 40 hours, Mon-Fri, 8am-7pm

  10. AND FINALLY….. • Don’t worry if you don’t secure the Foundation Programme of your choice • Ensure that you can demonstrate commitment through other means eg tasters, courses, conferences, arranging your own observations, meetings with consultants, research, etc
