  2. Learning Objectives • ​To understand how and why local and global perspectives on cultural issues can change and how we can research and analyze cultural issues

  4. Lesson Tasks • 2. In groups you will each research an issue to do with tradition, culture and identity and produce a 4-5 minute presentation to give to the class at the end of the lesson. ​​​Each group will research an issue and make notes on: Global/Local Perspectives, Future Scenarios/Solutions and Personal Perspective. Try to find out the causes and consequences of the issue/perspective. Click here to download a research grid. Groups are:

  9. 2 Essay Questions • After each presentation, think of two essay questions related to the presentation that you could investigate. Type your possible essay questions and submit via FOCUS.

  10. HOMEWORK • Choose one research/essay question from the presentations this week that you would like to research for your Unit 1 essay. ​Use this essay planning document (click here for PDF version) to begin thinking about your question/topic. Bring the completed document in class next lesson.
