  3. Focus Group • Form of qualitative research in which a group of people are asked about their perceptions, opinions, beliefs, and attitudes towards a product, service, concept, advertisement, idea, or packaging

  4. Focus Group • 1. Define the purpose • 2. Identify the participants • 3. Develop the questions • 3-5 questions • Start easy & get more difficult

  5. Focus Group • 4. Identify a facilitator • Deal tactfully with outspoken participants • Conflicts of interest • Able to draw out quiet participants • Probe for full answers
