  2. P14311 Electrical Controls Overview • The electrical system of P14311 consists of the following major components (see block diagram on the next page): • Two electrical box assemblies • Interlock and E Stop switches • UC300 Motion Controller and I/O Breakout Board • Low voltage power supplies • AC outlets (supply power to the computer, router, and vacuum) • Fans • SSR and electromagnetic relay • Inside the AC electronics box assembly, a 24VDC LVPS provides power to the coils of the three stepper motors which are located in the upper portion of the enclosure. Likewise, a 12VDC LVPS is situated directly below the 24VDC LVPS and supplies 12VDC for the fans and 5VDC on another channel for all logic situated on the I/O board. • The E-stop switch interrupts the AC line going to both of these supplies. Within the upper enclosure door frame consists the interlock switch, which interrupts current going through the relay coil, and disconnects the steppers motors from their 24VDC supply, as well as the router from its own 120VAC supply. A main rocker switch on the front of the enclosure, however, can disconnect all delivered power from the power cable plugged into the wall outlet. • The I/O board outputs the SSR enable signal, which allows a path of travel for current going to the router (i.e. goes through the relay, too), and the vacuum, and is strictly used for AC power. This I/O board is located in the logic control box assembly, which also contains the stepper motor driver boards and the UC300. JWP 5/19/14
