  3. Definitions • Interest groups: groups of people with common concerns who join together to influence government policy • Public policy: a plan of action that addresses a problem to benefit the greater good

  9. What is a Lobbyist??? A person or group hired by interest groups to make direct contact with lawmakers and govt. officials to influence the passage of laws and regulations!
