Saturday 19th March: Culbin Forest Walking Trip : Culbin Forrest Date: Saturday 19th March 2011 Meet at Neon : 10.30am 1 hour travel to Culbin Forrest (with pick-ups at Forres to be arranged) Starting location : Wellhill car park : Culbin Forest (grid reference NH 998 614) Starting time 11.30am Route Circular route (see map) Lunch: High Point (grid reference NH 987 623) / Bring a packed lunch Finish at Culbin: 3pm Minibus transport: Please book a seat on the minibus with Moira or we cannot guarantee transport. 1 hour travel to Elgin (NEON), with drop-offs at Forres tbc) Arrive at Neon: 4pm Please note that we have given ourselves an hour for travel both ways. It is likely to be less than this, so we could be back at Neon for 3.30pm to 4pm. Watch out - Gavin might have a little navigation game to play with you all  Equipment list Please wear suitable outdoor clothing, good walking shoes or boots, warm jumpers, waterproof jacket etc Food and water : please bring your own food and water with you (maybe a flask of tea/coffee if you wish) Ideally a day/pack/ small rucksack could be brought and shared with other members who do not have a day sack, i.e. let’s work as a team to have fun!

Sunday 10th April: Speyside Way Walking Trip : Speyside Way Date: Sunday 10th April Meet at Neon : 10.30am 1 hour travel from Elgin to Craigellachie with pick ups Meet at Fiddich Park car park at 11.30am Starting location : Fiddich car park Starting time: 11.30am Route Fiddich Park to Aberlour (just before Carron House) Minibus Transport: Please book a seat on the minibus with Moira or we cannot guarantee transport. 1 hour travel to Elgin (NEON), with drop-offs Arrive at Neon: to be confirmed but back by 4pm Equipment list Please wear suitable outdoor clothing, good walking shoes or boots, warm jumpers, waterproof jacket etc Food and water: please bring your own food and water with you (maybe a flask of tea/coffee if you wish) Ideally a day/pack/small rucksack could be brought and shared with other members who do not have a day sack, i.e. let’s work as a team to have fun!

Saturday 14th May - Spey Bay Walking Trip : Speyside Way : Port Gordon / Spey bay / Garmouth Date: Saturday 14th May Meet at Neon : to be arranged Travel details to be arranged Meet at Port Gordon car park by public house: Starting location : Port Gordon car park Starting time:: to be arranges Route Portgordon to Garmouth (via Spey Bay) Lunch: to Spey Bay for lunch and visitors centre/ museum Finish : Garmouth Travel details Transport and times to be arranged Equipment list Please wear suitable outdoor clothing, good walking shoes or boots, warm jumpers, waterproof jacket etc Food and water : please bring your own food and water with you (maybe a flask of tea/coffee if you wish) Ideally a day/pack/ small rucksack could be brought and shared with other members who do not have a day sack, i.e. let’s work as a team to have fun!

  5. Saturday 25th June : Culbin Forest Conservation project Walking Trip : Culbin Forest Conservation project Date: Saturday 25th June Meet at Neon : 10am Travel details to be arranged. We will be taking part in a conservation project and helping to clear an area of young trees and plants. Anyone who wants to complete the John Muir Award must take part in this session and contribute to conservation of the area. We will be back in Elgin by 4pm. Equipment list Please wear suitable outdoor clothing, good walking shoes/boots, warm jumpers, waterproof jacket etc Food and water : please bring your own food and water with you (maybe a flask of tea/coffee if you wish) Ideally a day/pack/ small rucksack could be brought and shared with other members who do not have a day sack, i.e. lets work as a team to have fun!

Saturday 9th July: Moray Coastal Trail Walking Trip : Moray Coastal Trail : Burghead to Findhorn Date: Saturday 9th July Meet at Neon : tbc Starting location : Burghead Caravan park Starting time: tbc Route Burghead / Roseisle/ Findhorn Marina Lunch: Roseisle Finish : Findhorn, for a nice, well deserved cup of tea! Travel details Elgin to Burghead for start and pick up at Findhorn Marina Equipment list Please wear suitable outdoor clothing, good walking shoes or boots, warm jumpers, waterproof jacket etc Food and water: please bring your own food and water with you (maybe a flask of tea/coffee if you wish). Ideally a daypack or small rucksack could be brought and shared with other members who do not have a day sack, i.e. lets work as a team to have fun!

  7. Saturday 23rd July: Presentation Award Day Date: Saturday 23rd July 2011 Location : NEON Starting time: to be arranged Information Participants’ Party and presentation to the public and awards ceremony for The John Muir Award
