THE CROWD SHOUTED AT HIS ENTRANCE • Luke 19:37 Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, • :38)saying: " 'BLESSED IS THE KING WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!' Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"

  3. JESUS THE MAN • They had experienced-- EXCITEMENT JESUS THE MESSENGER • They had experienced-- ENLIGHTENMENT JESUS THE MESSIAH • They had experienced – EXPECTATION

  4. Zec9:9 "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.

  5. THE CROWD SHOUTED AT HIS EXAMINATION • John 19:14 Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, and about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, "Behold your King!" • 15) But they cried out, "Away with Him, away with Him! Crucify Him!" Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your King?"

  6. WHY THE SUDDEN CHANGE? • They considered Him an Imposter He did not overthrow Rome They considered Him an Instigator He defied their Rulers They considered Him an Intruder He spoke against their Religion

  7. The Donkey had to be Redeemed The Donkey had to be Released The Donkey had to be Ruled

  8. THE CROWDS SHOUTED AT HIS EXECUTION • They Misunderstood Christ’s Mission • They Misapplied the Scripture’s Message • They Missed God’s Methods
