  1. Connecting To The Seattle Area Pipetrades Via‘VPN’ Only Compatible With Computers Running ‘Windows XP or Higher’

  2. Setting Up The Connection This Should Only Have To Be Done Once Per Computer

  3. 1.) Click ‘Start’

  4. 2.) Click ‘Run’

  5. 3.) Type ‘rasphone’

  6. 4.) If you see this screen, click ‘Ok’ (If you do not see this screen, go to the next step)

  7. 5.) If you see this screen, click ‘New’ (If you do not see this screen, go to the next step)

  8. 6.) Check ‘Connect to a private network through the internet’ and click ‘Next’

  9. 7.) Type ‘vpn.seattlepipetrades.org’ and click ‘Next’

  10. 8.) Type ‘SAP VPN’ and click ‘Next’

  11. 9.) Click ‘Properties’

  12. 10.) Click The ‘Networking’ Tab & Click ‘Properties’

  13. 11.) Click ‘Advanced’

  14. 12.) Uncheck ’Use default gateway on remote network’ & click ‘Ok’ (Please Note: If You Are Using Windows Vista, there is a slight difference in procedure – You may need to seek advice from an IT Staff Member)

  15. 13.) Click ‘Ok’

  16. 14.) Click ‘Ok’

  17. 15.) Click ‘Connect’ (Make Sure ‘SAP VPN’ is Highlighted from the Drop Down List

  18. 16.) Type ‘SAP’ as the Username Type ‘pipetrades08’ as the Password (All Lowercase) Check ‘Save this Username….’ Check ‘Anyone who uses this computer’ Click ‘Connect’

  19. 17.) You Should See a Balloon Next To Your Clock Saying You Are Connected

  20. You Should Now Be Connected To The VPN To Disconnect, Follow These Instructions:

  21. 18.) Click ‘Start’

  22. 19.) Click ‘Run’

  23. 20.) Type ‘rasphone’

  24. 21.) Click ‘Hang Up’

  25. Use The Next Set Of Instructions To Connect To The VPN In The Future

  26. Connecting To The VPN This Should Be Done Once The Initial VPN Setup Has Been Done

  27. 22.) Click ‘Start’

  28. 23.) Click ‘Run’

  29. 24.) Type ‘rasphone’

  30. 25.) Click ‘Connect’ (Make Sure ‘SAP VPN’ is Highlighted from the Drop Down List

  31. 26.) Click ‘Connect’

  32. 27.) You Should See a Balloon Next To Your Clock Saying You Are Connected

  33. You Should Now Be Connected To The VPN To Disconnect, Follow These Instructions:

  34. 28.) Click ‘Start’

  35. 29.) Click ‘Run’

  36. 30.) Type ‘rasphone’

  37. 31.) Click ‘Hang Up’

  38. You Should Now Be Disconnected From The VPN Seek Further Instructions On How To Map Network Drives
