FORWARD PASSES - AFTER BALL IS THROWN H U UMPIRE LINESMAN R • Cover Long Pass Down the Middle and Your Sideline • Watch for Offensive Players Blocking BEFORE Pass is Touched • Be Prepared to Cover Any Pass Near Sideline • While Ball is in Flight, Move to the Most Advantageous Position • You Have the Entire Sideline • Cover Short Receiver Over the Middle

EVERYONE RESPONSIBLE FOR: • Ineligible Receivers Downfield • Touching or Catching by Ineligible Receiver • If Disagreement on Complete or Incomplete, Concede Call to Official Facing the Receiver • Keep Players Under Observation For Any Illegal Action • If Pass is Uncatchable, Covering Officials Gives Proper Signal • Assist Each Other on Button Hooks, Traps, etc. • Complete or Incomplete Screen Passes
