Drug2Gene • “Drug2Gene reports relations (i.e. binding) between genes/proteins and drugs/compounds including bioactivity data where available.” • É uma base de dados que fornece informação sobre as relações entre genes/proteínas e drogas(fármacos)/compostos, e se disponível sobre a bioactividade.

  3. Composição da base de dados • A informação desta base de dados é proveniente de 18 bases de dados públicas: CGDCP ChEBI ChEMBL CTD Drugbank HGNC IUPHAR Ligand Expo MICAD NCBI Gene OrthologyCalculated PDBsum PDSP_Ki PharmGKB PubChemCompound PubChemSubstance TTD Uniprot

  4. Vantagens deste serviço • Permite ao utilizador: • Marcar • Comentar • Actualizar as relações (entre o gene/proteína e droga/composto). • Permite num único serviço, juntar 18 bases de dados.

  6. Tráfego recebido pelo site • Segundo Webstatsdomain, este tem um “alexatrafficrank” de 19 443 815, que é baixo. Significando então que o site recebe poucos utilizadores/visitas. • Comparando por exemplo com o ChEBI (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/chebi/), este tem um “alexatrafficrank” de 93 306, significando então que tem muitas visitas. • Concluímos então que os investigadores/utilizadores continuam a preferir usar diretamente as bases de dados, em vez de utilizarem a Drug2Gene.
