Rio Valley Charter SchoolA High School Program Offering a Second Chance • 89% of 11th and 12th grader students who are credit deficient at the time of enrollment • 92% of high school students who are below grade-level at time of enrollment • 87% of high school students who participate in one or more of our intervention programs

Rio Valley Charter SchoolA Unique Educational Experience • One-on-one support and small group instruction from a dedicated, credentialed teacher • An individualized math program for grades 7th – 12th • A Math Lab that is open 45 hours per week, including evenings • Tutoring and small group support in ELA for 35 hours per week

Rio Valley Charter SchoolA Place for College Bound Students • Access to A-G approved courses • Access to online honors and AP courses • Access and support in taking and completing courses at the community college level • Implemented rigorous learning opportunities – Gateway to Technology, Intro to Engineering, Computer Programming, hands-on science labs • Support in completing the college application and financial aid process

Rio Valley Charter SchoolProfessional Development • Implemented Professional Learning Communities • Meet twice per month to review students’ assessment data, making group and individual adjustments as needed • Participated in over 100 hours of professional development focusing on implementation of the California Common Core Standards, including participation in series and workshops offered by: • San Joaquin County Office of Education • Sacramento County Office of Education • NWEA • UC Davis
