Fund Raising • Budget to raise $10,000 in fiscal 2012, • Funds raised will support as follows; • Polio Plus,………………………...........$6,500 • Rotary Against Malaria,…………….$ 700 • EREY (Annual Giving Program)….$2,800 • Timetable still being finalised for major events; • Local Food Harvest ……………late Feb /early March 2012,(Chris/Pago) • Bike Ride to Conference…….20/25 March, 2012 ( Trevor), • Montsalvat Initiative………….April, 2012 ( Gary/FeatherDuster), • Trivia Night………………………..June, 2012 (Mike W/Englebox/Gary) • AFL (Kevin Bartlett) evening raised $1437.50; • Ticket sales @ $10 per head……….$830, • Raffle + Donation………………………..$607 • Local Food Harvest research current thru Chris Chapple ..tentative date is Thursday 27 Feb 2012, • November is Foundation month—RC Eltham will use month to push EREY Annual giving program…..@ 30 Sept 2011 just $246.90 in kitty from 4 members,

Polio Plus • US 177.3mn raised @ 30 Sept, 2011,-target US200mn by June 2013, • Polio cases detected in 3 countries only in September 2011, • Rotaract Clubs will support CHOGM (late October) to “Eradicate Polio”, • Southport Rotaract Club to hold fund raiser, • Fremantle Rotaract planning October fund raiser • Rotaract Conference (Sept24/25) promoted “Eradication of Polio” with assistance from GlobalPovertyProject, • RC Eltham raised $1437.50 on 22 Sept ( KB evening) to kick start fiscal ‘12 funding program,

Grants • Budaka project (Uganda) continues to struggle-confusion over project scope & sourcing of funding, • Aquabox proposal (Ian Thomas) for in situ storage of boxes in Philippines & Indonesia not yet received, • East Timor project scoping current thru Ian Toohill..expect application in November 2011, • Kenyan Kinship project presentation by Angela Clifford may have “legs” in 2012/2013 for school fitout/books/education….most likely apply for RAWCS tax effective donation as first step during school building phase, • Christchurch Grant proposal proceeding but no firm request lodged with RC Eltham.

  5. Other business • Group Study Exchange-nothing further to report District 9790 outbound to District 6980 ( Florida) in 2012, • District 6980 inbound hosting not supported by RC Eltham Feb/March 2012, • GSE 2013 program will be funded by District & deserves RC Eltham support, • Ambassadorial Scholar program worth RC Eltham reminder/support for 2013….consider contact currently undertaking tertiary education who may benefit from extending studies overseas for 12 months.
