  1. Critical Reflection Questions Jarren Smith

  2. Question 1 How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?

  3. The film, “Agent 22 Gone”, is an action movie opening. A good action movie can have a car chase, use of weapons, and thrilling action music in the background. Our group basically covered all of those standards even though we did not get the chance to film everything we wanted to film, such as a car crash.

  4. The film represented the issue of kidnapping and how it could happen to anyone. The kidnapping in the movie shows that the protagonist’s best friend was taken away by a guy with a gun. The protagonist would grab supplies and do whatever he can to get his friend back.

  5. Question 2 How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

  6. The film “Agent 22 Gone” is about an agent who goes out to hunt down the guy who kidnapped his best friend. The audience would stay to watch this and say “wow”, because the film is extremely action packed that gives a sense of suspense and thrills. Car chase and gun shootout scenes will be unforgettable to the viewers.

  7. The film was distributed by Jupiter Films and produced by BrowardBoys. The film will be leaked on social media so that it can be shared by millions of people of the Internet. We will promote T-shirts, snapbacks and sunglasses.

  8. Question 3 How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

  9. The group and I brainstormed a pretty good storyboard that resulted in decent acting, well executed movie scenes, good camera angles and a good action movie choice although the music was used in the entire opening. As a result, we were able to edit the scenes to the way we wanted it to look although we did not get every scene we wanted to take. The title and credits did not need to look flashy as we got into the movie as soon as possible since that is what the audience would like.

  10. Question 4 What did you learn to use throughout this project?

  11. Throughout this project, I’ve learned how to use Wordpress that allows me to post blogs about the movie 2 times a week, I learned how to use Pinnacle Studios that enhanced the look of the movie, and I learned how to upload a video onto YouTube.
