  2. Our Mission Statement As the voice of Spill Response Professionals, SCAA represents a broad coalition of emergency responders, manufacturers and environmental firms who collectively address Industry challenges, in order to strengthen and improve our nation’s response community.

  3. Our Statement of Values • Make health, safety and environmental considerations a priority in the planning and implementation of our operations; • Provide quality products and reputable service, while responding safely and efficiently;

  4. Statement of Values (cont.) • Participate with Government, customers and other stakeholders in creating responsible laws, regulations and standards to safeguard the community, workplace and environment; and • Recognize and support programs and services that have a direct impact on the quality of the global environment.

  5. Annual Business Meeting • Article IV of Bylaws requires annual update to SCAA membership on the following topics, specifically: • Membership • Financial Position • Election of Directors

  11. Financial Position • Organization has a strong balance sheet and adequate cash position • Completed Tax Form 990 and full compliance with pertinent regulations • Membership growth off to a good start in 2014.

Notable Recent Events • Sponsored an exhibit booth and membership reception at CLEAN GULF 2013 in Tampa • Exposure to many spill control firms • Provided networking opportunity for members • Contributed to new member applications • Sponsored an exhibit booth at Clean Pacific 2012 in California

Notable Recent Events • Extended SCAA’s Responder Immunity Coalition membership throughout 2013 • Represented our industry’s perspective in the Coast Guard sponsored Equipment Surge Workshop and Response Resource Workgroup meeting • IOSC 2014 “Supporter” • Member of the Program Planning Committee • Encourage member technical papers • Participate in On-Water demonstration

  21. Moving Forward Third Annual SCAA Capitol HillVisit Day in March 2014 • 41 members and staff visited 41 targeted Congressional offices • Single Focus on Responder Immunity

  22. Moving Forward SCAA’s 2014 Business Plan • SCAA leaders and staff met by conference call to develop the Business Plan for SCAA for 2014 that focuses attention on SCAA’s most important initiatives • The plan will be reviewed and adjusted for 2015

  23. Moving Forward • The 2014 Plan mirrors the work of SCAA’s newly formed committees: • Membership • Government Affairs • Planning • Technical Advancement • Inland Spills • The Plan also looks at long-range, 5 year goals and past achievements
