GOAL To revegetate Iron King Mine tailings a Superfund Site in Dewey-Humboldt, AZ; using successful strategies from greenhouse studies. • Prevent environmental and health risks • Arsenic and lead up to 4000 mg/Kg • Wind and Water erosion • CONSTRAINTS Metals Photos: Dr. Maier’s Lab Compost as amendment Native plants selection

Measurements of Total Canopy cover which includes six native plant species and plant species composition†(significant growth). Species designations: Buffalo grassӿ (BG), Arizona fescueᵆ (AF) and Quail bushᵠ (QB).
