Collaborative Challenges • Project Structure • 5 PI’s from 5 different administrative domains • At least 6 sets goals and objectives • high degree of overlap, but still not 100% • ~10 fte’s spread across ~15 actual people within the 5 admin domains • Managing people you have no right to manage • limited time slices from the PI’s

  5. Top problem spots • Project memory • Decision making processes • con calls, mail threads, documents, static web pages, bugzilla • Changes in strategy • Tracking progress • Reporting on “non-collaborative” activities • Managing the funding agency
