How exercise keeps you healthy. • Physical exercise is any bodily activity that enhances or maintains overall health and wellness. • This has been proved through strengthening muscles and the cardiovascular system. • Frequent and regular exercise boosts the immune system and helps to protect you against the “diseases of affluence” such as heart disease, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity.

  3. How exercise keeps you happy • Exercise helps to improve mental health, and helps to decrease your chances of getting depression. • It can help to promote a positive self-esteem, and can improve sex appeal and body image, allowing an even higher self-esteem level in the individual.

The doctor’s secret to good health. • Childhood obesity is a growing global concern, and physical exercise can help to decrease these effects on both child and adult obesity. • Doctors and health care providers often call exercise the “miracle” or “wonder” drug-eluding to the wide variety of proven health benefits that it provides.

  5. Classification of exercise. • There are 3 types of exercise.1. Flexibility exercises, such as stretching muscles and joints for improved range of motion. 2. Aerobic exercises, such as cycling, swimming, walking, skipping rope, rowing, running, hiking, or playing tennis to improve cardio endurance. 3. Anaerobic exercise, such as weight training, functional training, eccentric training or sprinting to increase short-term muscle strength.

How Exercise helps your immune system • All types of exercise helps to keep your cardiovascular system and immune system up and running. • The cardio system is very important because this involves your heart and lungs which are vital in sustaining your life. • Your immune system is vital in defending your body from the millions of bacteria and viruses in the world around you, your immune system will keep you from getting a nasty cold or flu for the holidays. So keep it healthy!

Brain Function • Exercise allows your brain to run better when you are fit and in shape. • When you are well fit and in shape you will function better in a business meeting and will be able to concentrate longer. • Eating right also plays a role in proper brain function, eating healthy will also keep you out of the obesity zone, and obesity can lead to diabetes or worse, death.

  9. The Effects on the Brain without Exercise • It has been proven that exercise can prevent dementia. • Frequent exercise can help to reverse alcohol-induced brain damage. • Exercise also help to increase the blood flow to the brain, allowing healthy brain function and a larger IQ.

Exercise’s Role in Happy Living • There are a number of factors that contribute to depression are: Being overweight Low self-esteem Stress Anxiety. * Exercise helps to reduce this by releasing Endorphins into your body, these little guys relieve your body of pain and acts as a antidepressant.

Excessive Exercise • Too much exercise will actually stress you out, your body will use your muscles as proteins and will break down all your natural body fat for energy. • This can be very dangerous as your guts will be bouncing around inside you, possibly resulting in hemorrhaging and much internal pain.

  12. What happens if Excessive Exercise is stopped • Many mood swings or mood changes can occur suddenly and without warning when excessive exercise is halted. • Once your body gets used to the punishment it tends to become addicted. • You will feel like you’ve got a hangover during this process.

  13. Nutrition and Recovery • Proper nutrition is very important to maintain a healthy routine. • When exercising it becomes even more important to have a healthy diet in motion. This ensures that the body has the proper ratio of macronutrients to aid the body in proper recovery. • This will make you stronger and happier. • Happy exercising and have fun.
