  2. InfoView Integration: Lesson Objectives • After completing this lesson, you will be able to: • Log in to InfoView with the Analysis for Office Client • Save workbooks and presentations to InfoView • Open workbooks and presentations from InfoView

  4. Log in to InfoView • Whenever the user tries to access networked resources, she must first log in to InfoView. This happens whenever she: • Saves a workbook or presentation • Opens a workbook or presentation • Inserts a data source from Other Data Source

  5. InfoView Logon • Enter your User ID and password to log in. • Note! BW logon and InfoView logon are separate. Individual BW logons will be needed for each data provider used in info object insert, or document refresh.

  6. Skipping InfoView Logon If the user is not working with documents stored on the InfoView server and is only adding an info provider, then she may elect to skip logging onto InfoView and connect directly to the data providers.   8. Saving Documents (1) To save Analysis documents on the InfoView server, click the Office button and select Save Presentation for PowerPoint documents or Save Workbook for Excel documents. PowerPoint Excel

  9. Saving Documents (2) • After logging in, a Save Documents dialog is displayed. Chose the folder and filename and click Save. • The document will then be available to all users with access rights to that location on the InfoView server.

  11. Opening Documents (1) To open documents saved to the InfoView server, click the Office button and select Open Presentation to open a PowerPoint document or Open Workbook to open an Excel document. PowerPoint Excel

  12. Opening Documents (2) Search Folders After logging onto InfoView, you can choose the Search tab page to search for a document, or the Folders tab page to open a document.
