  1. Control Center - Data Module August, 2011 Welcome to Control Center. The intent of this module is to provide an introductory view of the features and functionality available in Control Center for the Administration module. Individualized training modules have been established for each segment and service available in Control Center. For links to customized training videos, visit the Message Center after logging in. Availability of CenturyLink Services varies. Check availability.

Control Center Control Center is a free, secure, self-service Web portal that provides access to critical tools enabling easy, safe and fast management of invoices, network configuration and statistics and trouble reporting. Control Center is a robust online reporting tool that can help improve your operation by delivering useful knowledge and greater insight into your business. The portal’s simple navigation and business-friendly resources help users across your organization find the information they need quickly and easily -- at the level of detail needed. All without complicated training. All you need to get started is your computer and Internet access. The portal is available anytime, anywhere 24/7/365.

  3. Control Center - Data Application. • Data Application allows you to manage the domestic Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) and Frame Relay services. • The five options available in Data Application include: • Inventory • Reports • Status • Repair • Notify Contacts • The two options to view/ access your data inventory include: • Click on the Data Summary widget on the dashboard. • Choose the quick links under the Services menu.

  4. Control Center data inventory. The Data Inventory screen shows a listing of the Ports and Virtual Circuits (VCs) associated with your Control Centerenterprise. It also allows you to create logical groups of network ports or VCs.

  5. Control Center port. • The Port screen provides a listing of ports associated with your enterprise. • Use the drop-down menu under the Filtersoption to sort the ports by Customer ID or Carrier ID. • A high level view of your inventory is available from this screen, click on the column headers to view your inventory/circuits in either ascending or descending order. • Use the Download link to export your inventory into an Excel spreadsheet. • Click on Detailed View to create an alias or friendly name for your ports and confirm detailed port information.

  6. Control Center data inventory. • The Virtual Circuit screen provides a listing of the virtual circuits (VCs) inventoried under your enterprise ID. • Download your inventory to an Excel file or use the filter option to locate a particular VC. • View details of a virtual circuit by clicking the orange link under Customer VC Name. • The Virtual Circuit Details screen allows you to modify the virtual circuit name, verify locations, confirm port speed, port type and DLCI information.

  7. Control Center data inventory. • Network Groups are a collection of ports grouped together for ease of statistical reporting. • A Network Group may consist of ports within a given region or pertain to a department within your organization and you can assign a given port to more than one Network Group. • This screen is divided into two sections: • Network Groups display a listing of the Network Groups previously established. • Functions use the Create Network Group option to create a new group and assign ports to it.

Control Center reports tab. • The Reports Tab provides the ability to request and view a variety of reports. • Statistics reports • Port Utilization and Performance • VC Utilization and Performance • Service level agreements (SLAs) reports • Port SLA Summary • Virtual Circuits SLA Summary • You can generate reports that cover daily, weekly and monthly time periods or customer date ranges. Statistical data on Port and VC use, availability. Performance on our network is continuously monitored and made available to you via the Control Center reporting functions.

  9. Control Center reports tab. (continued) The Port Utilization and Performance report provides detailed information on how the ports have been used and/or performed over a specified time period. Similar report selection for SLA, statistics reports and VC Summary are available. Regardless of whether you generate a weekly or monthly use report, you will always be able to retrieve hourly detail for a specific circuit.

  10. Control Center view alarm status. • The View Alarm Status screen allows you to view high level information about alarms that have been detected on your network. • By default, the page lists open alarms during the last 30 days. • This screen is divided into three sections. • Filters – use this section to view by Customer ID or Carrier ID, status or alarm and Select Date filters. • Functions – create a repair ticket for the alarm displayed. • View Alarm Status -- displays the alarm status, report period and severity level.

  11. Control Center repair module. • Viewing, tracking and creating tickets for your data circuits is available via the Repair Tab within the data product module or by selecting Repair from the quick links on the dashboard. • The default screen for this module displays a list of all repair tickets associated with your services. This screen displays: • Ticket number • Service Type • Service ID • Update & Create date and Status • Tickets created within the last 90 days • Click the Create Ticket link to create a repair ticket associated with select CenturyLink services. • A separate training module has been created for Repair.
