Mission of the ACHIEVE Gardens Program Assist local groups to create, operate, and maintain a community garden to Improve public nutrition and the neighborhood environment Increase chances for healthful outdoor recreation, education, and positive social interaction Build community self-reliance and engagement

  3. Community Garden Project A Community Garden is green space set aside for local residents to grow their own fresh vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers.

Community Garden Benefits • Fresh and nutritious food at low cost to residents • District beautification and environmental enhancement • Healthy outdoor activity • Education relating to gardening and the environment • Build and strengthen communities through positive social interaction and shared activities

  5. Garden Design Raised garden beds are constructed to 20’ x 5’ for easy usage by elderly and people with disabilities.
