  3. LIFE AS A STAR • The start: She was discovered by photographer David Conover. He saw her potential as a model and signed her to The Blue Book modeling agency. • What made her famous: Hundreds of magazine covers, but her leading role in the movie, “Gentlemen prefer blondes” moved her into the A-list in 1953. • Latest movie: “The Misfits” • Outlook on her career: She was wanting to star in more roles and be the covergirl of more magazines, but died at age 36.

  4. INTERESTING FACTS • She was placed with 11 sets of foster parents after her mother was put in a mental hospital. • She was known for her red lipstick, blonde hair, and empowerment for women. • She had 2 plastic surgeries. • Her real name was Norma Jean Mortenson.
