Create a Poster… • Create a poster to express your thoughts on one of the following current events. • Stem cell research • Global warming • Rising oil prices • Outersolar planets • Guidelines • You must use three articles on the chosen current event to aid you for your poster. • You must have the articles approved before beginning your poster. • The poster must be on normal poster board, colorful, neat, and well organized.

  3. Create a jingle… • Create a 30 second jingle to reinforce one of the following topics: • Atomic Theory • Astronomy • Lunar Cycle • Plate tectonics • Guidelines • Jingle must be typed • Use at least 3 references • Must perform in front of the class

Design an experiment • What is one question that you have about the world around you? • Design an experiment to test your hypothesis to this question (must be approved by me). • Your experiment must include: • Question • Hypothesis (If+IV+verb, then+DV+verb) • Variables and Controls • Materials • Procedures • Possible errors to your experiment • Must be typed

Ending to a story • Read a science fiction short story. • Write a different ending to the story. • Guidelines: • Story must be approved by the teacher. • Must be typed (1-2 pages) • Must include: • Approval of science fiction story and show me the book • True ending to the story • Your new story ending • Explanation of why you chose the ending you did

  6. Timeline • Using the internet, create a technology timeline for 20 advancements in technology. • The timeline must include: • Labeled year • Technology device • Picture of device • Titles • Reference page (where you got your information)

  7. Comedy • Create a comedy routine to entertain your classmates on your science topic of choice. • Guidelines: • Must be school appropriate • Must be a science related topic approved by me • Comedy routine must be 3-5 minutes • Must provide a typed transcript of the routine. *You may work with one partner.

  8. Advertisement • Create an advertisement commercial video for your favorite piece of technology. • Guidelines: • Must be school appropriate • Must be able to play on the computer for the class • Must include: • A student designed logo • Picture or image of the device • Device specifications • Include a typed transcript of the commercial
