Mithi Authority was formed under Chairmanship of Chief Minister. Rs 1,260 crores project announced to clean & beautify Mithi Maharashtra Govt gave commitment to High Court in response to our petition to complete Mithi Rejuvenation in 7 years. Today Mithi Mission has become ‘Mission for Commission’ Dr. Kirit Somaiya

  4. 7 years over – Everything Missing • Rs. 1260 Cr. announced from the Centre • Not a Penny-Single paisa received • 860 crores spent on Mithi • Commitment to Complete Mithi Project by May 2012 • Improvement & strengthening of Disaster Management System • Action on CAG Observations • Fulfillment of Commitment of GOI, Maha Govt., MMRDA, BMC & Mithi River Authority

Kadavi Sachhai- Katu Satya • 100% work was to be completed by 31 May 2012 • Less than 40% completed till now • More than Rs. 860 crores already spent • Rs. 1260 Crore projected cost will go to Rs. 3,000 crore • Horrible cost escalation, chaos & corruption • Lack of political commitment • Mithi Mission has become Project for ‘COMMISSION’

Status on 1 June 2012 • Encroachment going on • New encroachments on Retaining Wall • Disilting work of 2012 just started • Disilting work for 2012 was to be completed by 31 may 2012 • Hardly 30% work (2012 monsoon) completed till now • Silt removed & kept on the bank of Mithi • 30% Retaining wall work completed till now • Illegal dumping re started
