  3. Main mass signals which stick out after subtraction of “impurity background” are • those for iBr+ and CF3+ • N2+ impurity signal fluctuates a lot. Therefore the negative result of the N2+ signal • after subtraction should be ignored. • The small C+ and C2+ signals sticking out after subtraction most probably is not real, • i.e. These signal most probably are due to impurti bakcground. As seen on next slide the • difference signal are tiny compared to the absolut signals strengths:
