New Countries' Expertise in Combating Racism & Discrimination: Strategies and Collaboration for Equality

This workshop aims to explore the unique contributions of new EU member countries in fighting against racism and discrimination. It will analyze the challenges related to language, identity, citizenship, nationalism, discrimination against Eastern European people, and "Roma issues." The workshop will focus on ENAR's advocacy work at the European level and discuss the effectiveness of specific victim group approaches. Cooperation with NGOs from other EU member states and topics such as lobbying, information sharing, solidarity, and equality will also be addressed. Additionally, the workshop will propose strategies for ENAR to address diverse situations in a horizontal manner, including the promotion of equal rights and the utilization of ENAR's structure for effective communication.
