  6. A REMINDER TO ALL 8TH GRADERS: YOUR FIELD TRIP MONEY AND PERMISSION SLIPS ARE DUE TO YOUR RESOURCE OR SPECTRUM TEACHER NO LATER THAN MONDAY, OCTOBER 15TH. If you are having problems finding a chaperone or forming a group, please see Miss Splendore TODAY.

  7. Attention Girls Seeking to Develop their Leadership skills

  8. You may be interested in a program called GIRLS TAKE CHARGE which is being offered at George Mason University on Saturday, October 13th.

  10. 6th Grade Ida Lee Fun Night October 13th from 8:30-10pm This event is just for our 6th graders--no sibs allowed.

  11. 6th graders will have the use of the pool and gym areas so bring your suits and wear your gym clothes. Pizza and snacks will be for sale for a small fee. The entrance fee is $4 per student.

  21. Recycle your old printer cartridges here and help raise money for Smart’s Mill.

  22. For every printer cartridge we recycle, we get $2.00 store credit at Staples. That can add up to a lot of school supplies for our teachers and staff!!!

  23. Grab your scissors and keep an eye out for the Box Tops for Education logo on the products you use every day. For every Box Top you clip, our school will receive 10 cents. That may not sound like a lot, but it adds up quickly.

  24. Bring your Box Tops for Education to your Focus teacher.  The focus group that collects the most will get a prize provided by the PTA
