  1. Poker Hands: The First Step In Playing Online Poker Poker hands are indeed the first step to overcome when learning how to play poker online. Regardless of the kind of variation you pick, poker hands are a staple in each of them. The rankings may fluctuate, and the cards may be modified; but eventually, this is a concept you need to learn as a novice player before anything else. In games like Texas Holdem, there are a total of ten poker hand combinations. Now, we will go through each of those in-depth. Royal Flush Ranking ahead of every combination in the game - we have the Royal Flush sequence. This is the strongest of all poker hand rankings and is practically invincible being the rarest find. If you have an Ace, a King, a Queen, a Jack and a Ten from the same suit - that is the Royal Flush. Straight Flush We have the Straight Flush which is nothing but a toned-down version of the Royal Flush. "How"? Well, if you have five cards from the same suit in sequential order - that gives you the Straight Flush. This is a mighty hand and can sweep most top-level games. Four of a Kind To conclude our list of top three, we have another powerful hand under all scenarios with the Four of a Kind's likes. As the name gives it away, having four cards from the same rank gives you this combination. Full House The Full House happens to be a combination of two other poker rankings: the Three of a Kind and the Pair. Therefore, if you have three cards of the same rank and two other cards of the same position, that gives you the Full House.

  2. Flush Flushes carry a strong reputation for winning most regular poker games. They are rare, but getable and manageable without forcing your opponents to fold. If you have five cards from the same suit, that gives you the Flush. Straight The Straight combination in poker also carries much leverage on its capabilities of winning most games. If you have five cards in sequential order regardless of their suits, that gives you the Straight. Three of a Kind Much like the Four of a Kind, the Three of Kind results from you bearing three cards out of your five-card hand that belong to the same rank. Two Pair Coming to the bottom of the table, we have the Two Pair, which often gives players an outside chance. If you have two cards of the same rank paired with two other cards of the same position, that gives you the Two Pair. Pair Pairs are halves of the Two Pair combination. So, if you have two of your cards resembling the same rank, that gives you the Pair. High Card Lastly, when your hand doesn't match any of the combinations mentioned above, you have yourself the High Card - represented by the single highest-ranking card from your pile.

  3. Inference We hope you understood the different poker hand rankings. Now, all you need to do is join the table and test them out.
