Aim of the work Gather information which helps the Commission to assess rationale and benefits of TPMS for LCVs  and HDVs Relevant information about TPMS contains: Potential CO2 benefit of TPMS Potential economic benefit of TPMS Technical maturity of technology Effectiveness CO2 vs economy Effective introduction

  4. 1. Aim of the work • The study is to be performed for the following vehicle classes: • LCVs (N1 vehicles and N2 and M2 with reference mass not exceeding 2610 kg), • HDVs (vehicles of class N2 and M2 that are not LCVs and M3 and N3 vehicles).

The work to be performed Task 1.1 Task 1.2 • Influence of under inflation on LCV/HDV emissions and potential reduction due to TPMS • Cost-Benefit Analysis Task 2 • TPMS state-of-the-art Task 3 • Market evaluation Task 4 • Safety Task 5 Task 6 • Potential for legislation and impact • Start date: January 2013 • End date: June 2013
