  1. PCDOT, Our Latest Construction Update • 5 Capital improvement projects:-La Cholla (currently underway).-Ina/Oracle Express Left Intersection mods (currently on Ad).-Orange Grove (will be advertised this month).-Valencia (will be advertised in 1-2 months).-Magee (Req for Auth with ADOT/FHWA). • 2 Transportation Enhancements:-Homer Davis Elementary (will be advertised this month).-Centennial Elementary (finishing design).

  2. PCDOT, Traffic Division Activities • Road Safety Assessments (RSA).-Continue to participate in ADOT’s formal/official program as requested.-Have developed a similar protocol for county roads and have completed our evaluation on two roadways. • Looking to pursue any funding opportunities we can. • Allows us to stay on top of operations before major problems develop!

  3. PCDOT, Maintenance Division Activities • Underway with pavement preservation efforts.-Have received $20 Million to date allocated in 4 phases and continuing through end of FY 13.-Continues to be a popular effort that buys a lot of good will!!!-Next round not officially committed, but looks favorable.

  4. PCDOT, Our Continuing Design Activities and Challenges • Working hard to solve the utility component. • Working to reduce time frames for TE projects. • Working to address the soft costs concerns. • Working to secure consistent and dedicated funding for the pavement preservation.

  5. PCDOT, Our Future……. • Looking forward to evaluating success of non standard intersection configurations (jug handle, express left and at grade parkway). • Starting two new project efforts:-Sunset Road-Wilmot Road • Collaborating with other agencies (City, State, Town) on joint/shared project efforts.-ADOT; I-10, SR 77, SR 86-City of Tucson; Silverbell and Houghton-Marana and Oro Valley; Tangerine.
