  2. Welcome to the Ultimate Nature Station • We strive to be the best in providing the public an educational experience that is fun and interactive for EVERYONE.

  3. Parking Lot • There are 6 accessible parking spots • Located Directly in front of Facility • Curb ramp is accessible • Loading zones • Signage

  4. Welcome/Help Desk • Located Directly In Front of Doors • Staff located throughout facility for assistance • What they offer? • Assistance for individuals with hearing impairments and vision impairments • Pamphlets • They are available to answer any questions.

  5. Restrooms • Signs: Men/Women and Accessible symbols with Braille • Sinks: • -automatic motion sensors: faucets, soap dispensers, handdryers • -mounted 34” from floor • -knee clearance: 27” high, 30” wide, 19” deep underneath • -exposed pipes are insulted; no sharp or abrasive objects underneath sinks

  6. Restrooms • Mirrors: mounted with bottom of mirror no higher than 40” from floor • Trash Cans: in the wall to allow for more room to maneuver • Toilets: 18” from floor to top of seat; automatic flush • Urinals: wall mounted; 17” above floor; automatic flush

  7. Restrooms • Grab rails: behind and on one side of toilet: 36” from floor • Toilet Paper Dispensers: within reach • Doors: accessible stall doors must NOT swing into the stall

  8. Restrooms • There are few moving parts • Requires little maintenance • Less potential for Vandalism • Sinks have metal guards around the base • Fixtures, trash cans, and partitions are off ground

  9. Going Green • Sinks are made of Terreon • Urinals are waterless • All faucets and valves are automatic • All fixtures are efficient

  10. Water Fountains • Two Indoor & Two Outdoor fountains • Spouts: 36” from floor to spout outlet • Water Flow: 5” with an arch 3” from spout • Controls: side and front mounted • Knee Space: 27” high from floor to apron, 30” wide, 19” deep • Clear Floor Space: 30” x 40”

  11. Classroom • 12 Large Desks are wheelchair accessible • Projection Screen for video production

  12. Benches and Walkway • One bench for every 100 feet of walkway. • Made of recycled wood • Dimensions • Two miles of walkway • Made of recycled rubber: • Flat, smooth surface • Easy to maintain/clean Benches Walkway
