Notes on the game: • “Real Reality” • turn key vision capability – this year • included in kit • do not design robot as big circular target • Robot can use gun like mechanism to launch ball into target • robot may have to climb something • 27x54 foot fiels • divided into 3 zones • standard soccer ball is used • stats with 15 second atonomus period • balls can be scored from anwhere • balls = 1pt • robots on or hanging are worth 2 pts. • robots hanging from other robots = 3 pts. • you can lose control of the ball if it rolls into another teams zone • you get penalty for shooting ball out of playing field. • you cannot carry robots over bumps • suggest targeting system that allows for range • devices which are used to move/ launch ball will have a lot of energy

  6. Use lexan “bump” under robot to help slide over the humps.

  7. Stages of building: • Mock up course • Assemble chassis of robot • Figure out the placement of the electrical components, (not including drive system) • Design drive system
