Sites from commercial businesses usually use .com, .biz U.S. federal government sites end in .gov, .mil K-12 sites often use “k12” in the URL University and college sites end in .edu Sites from non-profit organizations may end in .org or .net A tilde (~) or percent (%) usually means that this is a personal page – even when attached to a university or school!
