How Does This Work? • Each Grad gets SIX reserved seats • A computer assigned the seats in front of witnesses • Today you will get a piece of paper that shows WHERE your seats are • When you get you cap and gown, you get the actual tickets which allows you to sit in those seats • Cap & Gowns are distributed on an afternoon during Finals Week

  4. Some Details • If you don’t need all 6 tickets, please turn them in so we can give them to others • A few extra seats (48) will be on eBay in the beginning of May. Parents will get an email announcing the auction. Money goes to Boosters & Project Grad. • Other space is SRO, standing room only. More guests can attend but its SRO only.

Rules • No one arrives before 3 PM • No bringing in your own “seats” • No reserving standing room places • No standing in front of any seats • No seating without tickets • Everyone needs to sit down at 4:50 p.m. • Guests who use air horns will be asked to leave by an officer (hearing damage issue) “Everything You Need to Know About Graduation” handout will be on the website first week of May…

  7. Counselors’ Message • Final date to complete Odyssey & BYU: May 17 • Meet with Attendanceif you have missed classes! (make sure no credit loss). • Counselors will be call-slipping “at–risk”seniors. Do not ignore their attempts to reach you!! • Meet with counselor to check on grad status if concerned! • If you receive an invite to the Senior Awards ceremony on May 20 …go and stay the whole time!

  8. Priority Registration Checklist • REGISTER - You should all be registered with SRJC by now! • PLACEMENT TESTS: ELA and Math. Complete ASAP! • REGISTER FOR CLASSES: MAY 6 Open registration for summer begins. Register for COUNS. 270 – sessions begin in May (required for priority registration) • FINAL TRANSCRIPTS: Have sent in June. See Joan Dockter. • COUNSELING • Meet with SRJC Counselor upon completion of Couns. 270 • www.santarosa.edu

  10. College Bound GRADS… • CSU’s • Confirm acceptance. Pay deposit by May 1 • Send Final Transcript (check campus for deadline) • Early Start: Summer program required for students who have not fulfilled the • Entry Level Math and/or English Placement proficiency requirements. • Placement Test: Freshman Applicants must take the CSU English Placement • Test (EPT) and the Entry Level Mathematics test (ELM) by May 4 • UC’s • Send Statement of Intent. Pay deposit by May 1 • Send Final transcript by July 15, 2013 • UC Analytical Writing Placement Examination: All incoming students who • have not met the Entry Level Writing Requirement by April 1, must take the UC • Analytical Writing Placement Examination

Private Colleges & Universities • Varies –Stay on top of all requirements and deadlines: transcripts, assessments, etc. • Financial Aid • Be sure to read your FAFSA/Fin Aid reports (SAR) and respond if need be. • Have not heard about Cal Grant by April 30, call 888-224-7268 Got Housing?
