  3. Statistics • 44% of all victims are under 18 • Every 2 minutes someone is sexually assaulted in the US • Each year there are about 213,000 victims of sexual assault • 60% of all sexual assaults are not reported to police Source: http://www.rainn.org/statistics

Your Views • Jamie- I believe that all sexual assault, especially involving a minor, should carry some sort mandatory jailtime. • Andrea – I don’t think that anybody should force a person to do something if the person doesn’t want to do it, the person can be physically and emotionally traumatized
