  1. DDS design statusTask 9.2-Sub-task 2 Alessandro D’Elia on behalf of Roger M. Jones

  2. CLIC_DDS_A • CLIC_DDS_A production is proceeding as scheduled • We are waiting for the disks and couplers • RF measurements (RF transmission measurements and bead pull) will be done at CERN • If everything is fine, the all the further necessary steps will follow (final assembly and bonding) • RF power tests to be discussed and to be planned according to CERN test stand availability

  3. D. Schulte, PAC09, FR5RFP055 8 x DDS_Circular Assumption: Kick on only following trailing bunch CLIC_G Wake limit Too high!! Wake limit In the specs Courtesy of V. Khan and A. Grudiev

  4. New Structure with 2/3 phase advance CLIC_DDS_A Bandwidth is ~2GHz No interleaving in all cases Better performances than CLIC_DDS_A but still not in the limits

  5. Cell#1: different phase advance WGW 5/6 WGH SlotH 2/3 SlotW Htot 5/9

  6. Conclusions • CLIC_DDS_A production reached its final stage • Studies on the wakefield seems confirming that conventional DDS does not meet the wakefield damping specs • New DDS design improves the performances but is still not enough • Studies of structures with different parameters (phase advance) are ongoing
