  2. What is The Positive Paws Program? • Positive Behavior Program • Teachers will be on the lookout for students who are setting an example and using extra positive behavior! • We want to reward students who are doing excellent things everyday!

  3. What Do I Need To Do? • Your teachers will talk with you each month about the specific skills and behaviors that they will be on the lookout for. • They will also be hung up in your classroom for all to see! • Think about the Second Step Program and what you are learning in your Second Step lessons. • Use the skills you learn about and extra positive behavior, even when you think no one is watching!

  4. Each Month, We Will Have A New Focus • Skills For Learning • Empathy • Emotion Management • Problem Solving

  5. What Will Happen Next? • When a teacher notices a student with an extra positive behavior, they will award them with a Positive Paw. • The students name will be written on the front of the paw and the teacher will congratulate the student for doing a great job! • Students will bring their Positive Paws to place them in a container in the Main Office. • Weekly, we will have a drawing and students who are chosen will be able to pick a prize from our Positive Paws Menu!

  6. What Does the Menu Look Like?!

  7. What Else Do I Need To Know? • Students who earn 10 or more paws will be recognized at an end of the year assembly! • The Positive Paws will be hung around the school for all to see! • If we reach 500 Positive Paws as a school by the end of the year, there will be a surprise reward for everyone!

  8. You Can Do It, Students of Durham Nockamixon!
