  3. Downside to shouting? • Strain your voice • What is happening? • Raising of the larynx • Your larynx (voicebox) contains your vocal cords that lay flat over your trachea (windpipe) and vibrate horizontally in your throat • GOAL: get your larynx to STAY DOWN
