Traditions • Traditions festivals : with its amalgamation of taino Indians , Spanish, African ,French, and hitions is profusely visible in it festival music, dance, and the art • Dominican republic have a lot of tricks when it come to food • One of they tradition food is sancocho it is a soup that is mix with a lot of meat and some vegetables

  6. Religious • Catholicism is a broad term for describing specific traditions in the Christian churches in theology and doctrine, liturgy, ethics and spirituality.

  7. Clothes • The traditions clothes for Dominican republic is predominantly a result of Spanish and African influences • Men's: wear button down short sleeved shirts and long pant • Women's:wear dresses, jeans or form-fitting pants. • They beliefs of clothes was colorful dress ,and customs

  8. Music • Dominica listen to all types of music like: calypso,reggae,zouk,smooth jazz, mix,r&b,hiphop • These are some of the people they listen to: backstreet boys, Ricky martin, Jennifer Lopez, Eminem, destiny child, tlc

  9. Food • Dominica food is a blend of many culture dishes all combined to make cooking unique. • Dominica food is a blend of Spanish, African, and taino cuisine food • Some of the food they eat is rice, beans, plantains ,pork ,chicken ,and seafood

  10. Folk Tales or Legends • Stories about mythical beings, as in all cultures, are used to try and explain the unexplainable. • This story is about legendary magical creatures that is a men that can become animals. He can also transfer into objects, like tree trunks and stones.

  11. Famous Residents • Milly Quezada : she is considered as the queen of merengue of music in the Dominican republic • Rafael Trujillo : a famous military dictator who had ruled the Dominican republic from 1942 to 1952
