  26. Defining Medical Wordsمعنی نمودن کلمات • First, define the suffix or ending • Second, define the prefix, or beginning • Third, define the middle در ابتدا پسوند را معنی و مشخص نماید در مرحله دوم پیشوند یا شروع کلمه را معنی و مشخص نماید در مرحله سوم قسمت وسطی کلمه را معنی و مشخص نماید

  27. Compound Words • No limit on how many root terms can be used • No limit on how many prefixes or suffixes can be used • در ین کلمات محدودیت تعداد root ها که استفاده میشود وجود ندارد • در ین کلمات محدودیت تعداد پیشوند ها یا پسوند هاییکه استفاده میشود وجود ندارد.

Prefixesپیشوند ها • در شروع کلمات موقعیت دارند. • معنی اصلی کلمه را تغیر میدهدبه تنهایی معنی نمیدهد • معمولا تعداد, زمان, موقعیت, جهت, رنگ و احساس را نشان میدهد. • Located at the beginning • Alters the meaning of a root word and cannot stand alone • Usually indicates a number, time, position, direction, color, or sense of negation

Suffixes پسوند ها • در اخیر کلمه میایند • به ریشه کلمه یک معنی را اضافه مینماید • به تنهایی معنی نمیدهد • معمولا یک پروسیجر، حالت، مرض، یا قسمت از دستور زبان را نشان میدهد. • Word Ending • Add meaning of a root word an cannot stand alone • Suffix usually indicates a procedure, condition, disease, or part of speech

Root Wordsریشه کلمات • معمولا در قسمت وسط کلمه بوده و معنی اصلی کلمات را میسازند. • به تنهایی دارای معنی است یا معنی مشخص خود را دارد. • اکثرا یک قسمت بدن یا عمل را نشان میدهند • اکثر اصطلاحات طبی دارای یک یا بیشتر از یک ریشه میباشد. • Usually middle of the word and it’s central meaning • Can stand alone, or have a meaning on it’s own • Frequently indicates a body part, or action • Most medical terms have one or more word roots

  40. Pneumopyopericardium • Pneumo / pyo / peri / cardium • Pneumo = هوا یا گاز • pyo = قیح • peri = در اطراف • cardium = قلب • Air, gas & pus collected in the sac around the heart. • تجمع هوا, گاز و قیح در کیسه که قلب را پوشانده است.

  41. Hysterosalpingo-oopherectomy • Hystero / salpingo / oopher / ectomy • Hystero = رحم • Salpingo = تیوب • oophor = تخمدان • ectomy = برداشتن توسط عملیه جراحی • The surgical removal of the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. • برداشتن رحم, نفیر و تخمدان توسط عملیه جراحی

  42. Medical Abbreviations • BP = فشار خون • NCNS = بدون اختلاط • WHNS = التیام خوب و بدون اختلاط • Sid = روز یک مرتبه • Bid = روز دو مرتبه • Tid = روز سه مرتبه • Qid = روز چهار مرتبه p.o. از طریق دهن hxتاریخچه dxتشخیص R/O رد کردن WNL در محدوده نارمل مونث مذکر
