  1.    Hume I tech challenge Another step!!  By Brittany Smith And Harmony Joseph   

  2. Introduction!!!! Hi my name is Brittany Smith and this is my best friend Harmony Joseph. We decided that we would do our topic on going from primary school to high school we have also decided to put the writing on the screen and we will read it out to you we also had to make a big decision on what we would call our presentation we choose to call it ANOTHER STEP and well we read this there will be music in the background that represents Australia.

  3. Mickleham primary school logo The Mickleham primary logo represents the 154 year old bluestone building. This logo that you are seeing is a new version that was changed late last year.

  4. Mount Ridley college logo The logo represents the mountains and it also represent a child and an adult shaking hands. And the orange dots are the peoples heads.

  5. Mickleham Primary School Moto Is we belong, we achieve. We Belong- means that everyone is welcome and everyone fits in even if you are different you still belong. We Achieve- means that if you set your self a goal that is reasonable and you have a high chance of achieving it but you have to be committed to achieving your goal!!!

  6. Mt Ridley College Moto Preparing today's students for tomorrows opportunities- means that well we are at school today tomorrow may bring a big once in a life time opportunity. But that will only happen if you give your all to learning and getting a good education.

  7. History of Mickleham The school opened in 1855 on the 1st of April. It had 22 boys and 26 girls. The old blue stone building was the school when it first opened. Now it is the school library. Now the school has 6 class rooms, office, Canteen, 2 under cover areas and 2 play grounds. It also now has 108 students to this day.

  8. Brittany going from 1 teacher to now having 7 teachers? I found it really exciting to have 7 teachers in High School, as in Primary School when I only had one. It is good to have a change of teacher because you get different teaching styles and point of view from them all. In Primary school when you only have one teacher it can get a little boring, but you get to know them really well and form good bonds.

  9. Harmony going from 1 teacher to having 7 teachers. • I was really excited to have many teachers in high school and I couldn’t wait to get out of Primary School. I was looking forward to extending myself in High School. • In Primary School It can get a little too much only having the one teacher and I used to look forward to having a relief teacher sometimes, because they offer a different way of teaching.

  10. Brittany’s Challenges of going to a bigger school. • Our Primary School was a very small comforting place where you had this big family, and everybody knew each other. The teachers were very respectful as well as the students. • When I got to High School it was very different. It didn’t have the family feel that Mickleham did, and fitting in with new children was hard. There was only 8 of us who came from Mickleham and we were put into separate grades, so I knew nobody. I was scared at first but now I have settled in.

  11. Harmony’s challenges of going to big school. • It didn’t bother me too much about not knowing anyone in my grade, I just did what I Had to do and now I have many friends. • What shocked me was the amount of work they gave us to do and considering I did win the Hume Council Scholarship Award last year, I really had to buckle down. But over all I did not have trouble fitting in as have managed to do all my work on time.

  12. Conclusion This is our outlook on how Brittany and I have seen going to a small primary school to a massive high school. We have both had a really good time so far and have made a big effort to improve ourselves and extend. Thankyou for listening and we hope you enjoyed.
