Benefits of Concurrent Updates • Common horizon year is simpler for general public • Can use same data for all plans, saving costs • Can partner on public outreach & input efforts • Can address issues in a more comprehensive manner – • Greater coordination between land use and transportation • Countywide approach to some major issues • Don’t have to reinvent the wheel for approaches to: • Streamlining the Comprehensive Plans • Addressing changes in state law
